Latest Game Update
On Tuesday, September 26th, Rust's update 0.4.0 was officially released to the public. This update was a major overhaul of Rust's core gameplay, and has been in development for over a year.
Some of the major changes include a new inventory system, a new tutorial system, a new map, a new character selection screen, and an updated DirectX 11 renderer.
The new inventory system is now accessible by pressing "I" on the keyboard. The new tutorial system is made up of songs that instruct players on the basics of the game. The songs are played via voiceover and are narrated by the character "Makka" who is the game's new tutorial host. The new map is procedurally generated, meaning that it is different every time you start a new game.
